Quidco

In today’s world, where prices have sky rocketed, we have to start being more savvy with where and when we shop. There are loads of ways that this can be achieved, but there is one way in which we can save money, using an online platform called Quidco.

Quidco is an online shopping discount assistant. A simple and easy to use platform where you can select retailers, suppliers and service providers for goods that you wish or would normally purchase from. Now the savings are not instant but mount up and can be very rewarding. Currently I have earned £629.68, from using this app and is has been brilliant.

Simply log into the www.quidco.com (using my referral link) and create a free account.

Quidco provides a link that allows you to purchase your chosen goods, and pay the retailer directly at the value that you would normally pay, however the clever link tells your Quidco account that you have purchased the goods and whatever percentage of the amount offered, is allocated to your Quidco savings account as a ‘Tracked’ amount. Then after it has been ‘Confirmed’ you can withdrawn the funds directly to your own bank account. Payments becoming confirmed can depend on the retailer, but it can typically take up to 2-3 months (sometimes longer if you have purchased something like a year long subscription). Only once the retailer is happy that you are not going to return the goods or cancel the service will they pay Quidco, and Quidco will pass on the agreed savings to you.

Deals, discounts and percentage Cashbacks can change daily, monthly or never. Even though you may see a great option in my images, please do check that they have not changed. Sometimes Quidco have a one day massive cashback offer for some retailers, so being flexible and checking all options is a must.

To keep things easy, you can download the ‘Cashback Reminder’, a Quidco Chrome plug in that tells you when you are looking at a shopping site, and it is registered with them for a discount, so you do not miss any chance of cash back opportunities.

Quidco has hundreds of different brands, retailers, service providers and holiday agents, that all advertise differing discounts through the site. There are a number of categories you can browse and I have found inspiration for the perfect Birthday and Christmas presents doing this. I normally look to see which retailer is doing the best cashback, and go hunting around a website looking for a present. When I have found the item, purchasing it the normal way, I know there is a tracker in Quidco that does the rest.

As the discounts are not instant, for me I allow them to build up and make a big withdraw of funds, all in on go, normally around Christmas time to help out with the usually expensive festivities. However the cashback can be withdrawn at any time, once it has been confirmed.

If you wish to increase the amount of ‘Cashback’ you receive you can opt to get vouchers. These vouchers are offered with an percentage upgrade, currently if you want Amazon vouchers they are offering a 1.75% payout bonus and there are loads more to check out to see if there are better deals.

If you find that you are using Quidco more often than expected and you are getting large amounts of money stacking up in your account, you may want to consider paying for an upgraded account, to receive higher Cashback and bigger bonuses, but again I would suggest you should personally work out if this is worth the paid upgrade.

Having used Quidco service, I have learnt that there are deals but there can be also better deals with retailers who have not signed up with Quidco. Doing simple searches for the specific item that you want on Google and check out the ‘shopping’ tab you might find a cheaper option, but make sure you are using a reputable retailer. If the price of a Quidco retailer, minus the % discount offered, is still higher than the other price, common sense would suggest you should ignore Quidco and its cashback and go for the cheaper option. But if not then you are in for some real savings.

As you can see, regardless of my own use of the site, always looking for better deals elsewhere (sometimes finding them off Quidco platform and opting not to get the cashback) and the ease of using Quidco’s platform, I am still pocketing hundreds of pounds of cash. This is all for something that I have used for free, and it has given me inspiration and access to reputable retailers and service providers.

If you are sceptical, I understand your concerns and all I can offer is my experience of the site. I have been fun, easy and rewarding. if I have convinced you to give it a go then sign up and see if you can save as much as me!

Please consider using my referral link, as (currently) we will both win, with £15 paid into each of our accounts. – https://www.quidco.com/raf/4595484/
